Inter were so deadly from corner kicks against Sassuolo that Cristian Chivu told his staff members: ‘It’s like a penalty.’

Inter secured a convincing 5-0 win over Sassuolo on Sunday, scoring the opening two goals from corner kicks taken by Federico Dimarco.

The Italian has already provided nine assists in Serie A this season.

As reported by Sky Sport Italia (via FcInter1908), when Inter scored their second goal with their second corner kick, everyone celebrated with Inter’s set-piece coach Angelo Palombo, a former Inter and Sampdoria midfielder.

The Nerazzurri boss, Cristian Chivu, was so impressed with the outcome that he jokingly told his staff members: “That’s not a corner kick, it’s a penalty kick.”

Inter have the best attack in Serie A with 57 goals, including 13 scored from corner kicks, in 24 games.

They are the table leaders with an eight-point lead over their city rivals Milan, who sit second, but the Rossoneri have a game in hand, to be played against Como at San Siro on February 18.
