Inter Milan center-back Manuel Akanji failed to meet expectations in last night’s Serie A clash against Napoli.
According to the Italian media via L’Interista, the Swiss star struggled to cope with Rasmus Hojlund.
Despite taking the lead twice, Inter slumped to another winless outing against direct Scudetto rivals under Cristian Chivu.
Indeed, Napoli held the Nerazzurri to a 2-2 draw at San Siro, extending their unbeaten run at this stadium to three matches.

Manuel Akanji has been rock-solid since joining the club from Manchester City on deadline day.
Indeed, the 30-year-old has become the cornerstone of Chivu’s defense, quickly overtaking Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi in the pecking order.
However, his performance last night fell short of expectations.
Frequently appearing exposed against Hojlund’s pace and movement, Akanji was not up to his usual standard.
Moreover, Scott McTominay slipped Akanji’s mark to draw Napoli level in the first half.
