Inter Milan remain strongly interested in Ivan Perisic as they explore options to address their wing-back shortage, an issue exacerbated by Denzel Dumfries’ lengthy recovery period.
The idea of a return to San Siro continues to appeal to Cristian Chivu, who sees the Croatian as an immediate and reliable solution.
Speculation intensified after Perisic began on the bench in PSV Eindhoven’s 2-2 Eredivisie draw with NAC Breda.
The veteran winger entered the match in the final half hour, prompting fresh questions about his role and future amid persistent links to Inter.
However, PSV head coach Peter Bosz was quick to shut down any transfer-related interpretations.

Speaking to ESPN, via FCInterNews, the Dutch coach made it clear that Perisic’s omission from the starting line-up had nothing to do with market rumours.
“Ivan is almost 37 and we play a lot of matches in a short space of time,” Bosz explained.
“There was only a brief gap between the game against Newcastle and this one. We also had to travel. I’d like to have him with me, but preferably for a longer period.”
Bosz’s comments underline PSV’s focus on managing Perisic’s workload rather than preparing for a January exit.
Still, Inter continue to monitor the situation closely, aware that their pursuit could accelerate if circumstances change in Eindhoven.
For now, the Nerazzurri’s interest remains alive, but the message from PSV is clear: Perisic’s reduced minutes were about rotation and recovery, not an imminent farewell.
