Patrick Roberts has completed a permanent move to Birmingham City from Sunderland after initially joining the Championship side on a season-long loan.

The 28-year-old winger has signed a two-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Roberts has scored three goals and provided four assists in 26 appearances for Birmingham to date.

The former Manchester City winger was on the books at Sunderland for four years, playing a part in two promotions as the Black Cats rose from League One to the Premier League.

"It was one of those [deals] that I was eager to get done and I'm glad it's done now.," Roberts told Birmingham’s website.
