Barrow have signed Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Killian Barrett for an undisclosed fee on an 18-month deal.
The 21-year-old Irishman had loan spells in the National League with Solihull Moors and Rochdale last season and Boston United in the current campaign.
He could make his debut for the Bluebirds in Saturday's trip to Crewe Alexandra.
"I only got told about the move a few days ago and after speaking with people at Sheffield Wednesday, I felt it was going to be a good move for my career," he told the club website.
