Fleetwood Town have signed forward Esapa Osong from Premier League side Nottingham Forest on loan for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old has previously had spells on loan in the EFL with Cambridge United and Rotherham United.

He also spent the first half of this season on loan with Scottish side Motherwell, where he made 10 appearances in total.

Meanwhile, defender Conor Haughey has agreed a three-and-a-half-year contract extension with the League Two side.

Haughey, 18, joined Fleetwood's youth set-up from Northern Ireland Premiership side Glentoran, making a senior debut for the club last season.

"Fleetwood is a club with clear ambition and I'm grateful for the opportunity to come in and help for the rest of the season," Osong said.

"The support I've had since joining the club and stepping into the first team has been immense," Haughey said.

"I hope I can repay the faith everyone has shown in me with some strong performances."
