Inter Miami continues to strengthen its squad in order to keep winning titles and now, through a statement, they have confirmed the arrival of one of the best goalkeepers in MLS and a strong candidate to be Canada's starting goalkeeper at the next World Cup: Dayne St. Clair.
Messi's team is looking to continue improving its squad for the challenges ahead in 2026 and if there was one thing they lacked, it was a goalkeeper of quality and with projection, so from Miami they are happy with this new addition and little by little renew a team that continues to be filled with stars.
Inter Miami signs one of the best goalkeepers in MLS
Dayne St. Clair arrives from Minnesota United, where he was a key player and after his contract expired and he became a free agent, Inter Miami took advantage of the opportunity and did not hesitate to make him an offer he could not refuse.

St. Clair's performance has been very good in MLS, where he stood out with a 77.93% save percentage, 113 saves and a clean sheet in 10 of the 30 first phase matches.
A goalkeeper with World Cup dreams
St. Clair is not only fulfilling his dream of being Messi's teammate and joining a club that wants to keep winning important things, but he is also getting closer to being a starter at the next World Cup.
It is almost a given that the 28-year-old will be Canada's starting goalkeeper at the 2026 World Cup after being a substitute in Qatar 2022. The player has improved his performance a lot and if nothing strange happens, he should be at the top of the tournament.
St. Clair has everything well on track to remain the best in MLS and, in a World Cup year, it is key to have visibility, so his decision to go to Miami seems to be the right one.
