Liverpool outcast Curtis Jones was on the verge of joining Inter Milan last month before the Reds decided to pull out of talks.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInter1908, the reigning Premier League holders suggested this deal to the Nerazzurri in the first place.
In a strange turn of events, Liverpool first offered Inter a chance to sign Curtis Jones, whose contract runs out in 2027.
However, they have then decided against selling the English midfielder, pulling the plug on the proposed move despite Inter’s interest.

Inter liked the idea of signing Jones from the start, especially after failing to land Manu Kone and Ederson last summer.
Furthermore, they’ve even agreed personal terms with the player, who was enthusiastic about moving to Serie A.
However, Liverpool had a change of heart at the 11th hour, forcing the 25-year-old to stay on Merseyside.
Meanwhile, Liverpool’s decision had a domino effect, as Inter had to stop Davide Frattesi from leaving the club.
Therefore, the Italian star will have to wait until the summer to find a new team.
