Boss Michael Skubala described his Lincoln City side as a "sensational group" after they came from a goal down to comfortably beat Plymouth Argyle.

The Imps are 13 games unbeaten in League One – winning 10 of those – after the 4-1 victory at Home Park.

The visiting side fell behind in the 11th minute to the Pilgrims before a blistering comeback which included a Reeco Hackett brace.

Speaking to BBC Radio Lincolnshire, Imps manager Skubala said: “Everybody is playing for everybody else. We have a sensational group of players.”

It was the first time in five games the Imps had been behind – and Skubala was pleased with his side's resilience after a long run of taking the lead in matches.

"It is a sign of a good team when you get a punch on the nose and you can come back in the second half like that and dominate a team," he added.

"Good players like Reeco and [Jack] Moylan are starting to make things happen, and then we get on top of them."

Hackett was equally delighted after his impressive performance – the winger scored two goals and created another through a set-piece.

He is enjoying his most productive season to date with eight goals.

"I think we are very front-footed and aggressive out of possession, and sometimes it's hard to then have a cool head when you land on the ball," he told BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s ‘Lincoln City: Red Imps Club’.

"That's been a really big part of what we've improved on and now we have a really good balance in and out of possession."

Lincoln City are second in League One, six points clear of third-placed Bolton, who they host this Saturday.

Staying there until the end of the season would grant them automatic promotion into the Championship – a level the club has not played at for 65 years.

"Anything to win a game of football – I'm a winner, I want to win," Hackett added. "We focus on ourselves game by game and try to pick up three points wherever we can."

Both Skubula and Hackett referenced the importance of the fans, with the manager saying how much they "needed them" in the first half at Plymouth.

"They're really becoming part of us and really helping the lads," Skubala said.

"In my eyes, our fans are so good, they're not just coming to watch, they're coming to be part of the result."
